Overview
Four core competencies for fluent AI use. Each builds on the previous.
1. Delegation
Focuses on the big picture — what are you trying to accomplish, what kinds of work are involved, and how should that work be split between you and AI?
- Clear vision and strategic thinking about AI’s role in your workflow
- Understand the goal and problem
- Recognise what AI can and cannot do well
- Decide the division of work
2. Description
Communicate effectively with AI — prompt engineering, context-setting, instruction clarity.
3. Discernment
Evaluate AI outputs critically. Not everything the AI produces is correct or useful.
4. Diligence
Responsible, transparent, and accountable use. Own the outcomes of AI-assisted work.
